PS4 Vs Xbox One - Round 2 Cost - Release dates upon us !!

Release dates are upon us less than a month for Australian customers and 2 weeks for the USA, and so time for another comparison between the two flagship systems. Cost is right up there with one of the most important aspects when buying a gaming console. Currently as of 31/10/13 the RRP for each system is;
PS4 - $550
Xbox One - $650

It's worth pointing out that the Xbox One price includes the new Kinect sensor but the PS4 price does not include the PlayStation Camera. Add the price of the camera to the console price and you end up nearly identical ! coincidence ? I think not.

Now if you plan on using the PS Camera or Kinect then there is no real issue with the inclusion, however if you don't plan on using the Kinect on the Xbox One you still have to pay for it which in my opinion is a real stumbling point for the Xbox One. The camera technology has come a long way but it is still not quite there in terms of accurate game play. 

The decision is yours.

PS4 Vs Xbox One - Round 1 Exclusive Titles - Release dates fast approaching

With the release dates fast approaching for both Xbox One and PS4 many eager games will soon need to make that difficult decision.....  

In terms of pre-orders PS4 is winning the race but when making your decision trends or what other people are doing shouldn't matter. You need to pick the console that best suits you and your needs. A big part of that decision should obviously be the games that is available to each console. As per my previous entry PS4 is wining the total number of games expected to be released with nearly double that of the Xbox one, however if the console doesn't have your favorite titles or series of titles then the console is really not that useful for you....

Below is a list of game titles that are exclusive to that console, by exclusive that means they will not be available on the competitors console and 'should' not be available on PC. Round 2 will be next and will focus on price, performance and optional extra.

Xbox One has managed to secure just over 70 titles for release in 2014, most of the big names are back and there appears to be something for everyone. However it is still a long way from reaching the 140 game titles promised by the PS4.

Granturismo 6 is due to release early December, rumored to have over 1200 vehicles, and has the legendary Bathurst racing circuit.

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Polyphony Digital Inc. have announced that Gran Turismo®6, launching on 6 December 2013, will include the famous Bathurst circuit in Australia. The track features for the first time in Gran Turismo history, Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit, Bathurst, to give it its full name, is the home of motorsport in Australia. Located in New South Wales, it has a rich motorsport history - the first race held there was the 1938 Australian Grand Prix and it now hosts the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000 races amongst others.

The challenging circuit is 6.213km (4 miles) long with surprisingly steep inclines, a twisty, narrow section across the top of the mountain which proves difficult to master even for the very best racing drivers, and very little run off area to allow for mistakes.
